Darklord's Story
Chapter 4
It was now many years later. Christien had just turned 21 and was very curious about the outside world. Everyday he would venture further and further out into the forest, until one day Sir Dracius called for him. It was at this time he told Christien the truth about who he was and what he was to someday do. After 20 years of learning the way of The Order, Christien had learned to control his anger and he had many questions. Some of the answers he was given would bring up more questions and some answers didn't make sense to him. Later that day, Christien told Solana. She didn't understand it, but she was able to hide this fact from him. As she was much older and wiser then Christien, she knew that when she didn't understand something, not to let it bother her nor get in the way of helping her friends. And so, she was there to help Christien any way should could.
Sir Dracius knew what he had just told Christien would take a while for him to fully understand, but he also knew this would make Christien even more curious about the outside world. He knew that Christien would be leaving the village soon and he had no way of stopping him. As he himself was growing older, his powers weakening, he could feel death creeping his way. And after 21 years of living with Ms Violet, they had fallen in love. Something he thought he would never do after the death of his wife 100 years ago. Everyday he had thought of her and his love for her stayed strong. Even now, he still loved her, but he knew she would approve of him and Ms Violet. Two years ago, he had asked her to be his bride and they had a small wedding. As was tradition for the fairies, the ceremonies lasted for days. Before they got married though, he made a promise to Ms Violet that they would die together and so he had given up his power for healing himself and he grew older with her by his side.
Sir Dracius had taught everything he knew of The Order and the only thing left for Christien to learn, was how to fight. This was something he could not learn in the village and so Sir Dracius discussed this with Ms Violet and the fairy Elders. They had decided it would be best for Christien to leave the village and seek out the only person who could teach him how to fight. Sir Ivanhoe was his name, but he was known as Silverblade. He was probably the best warrior on Tantina. He had trained many warriors and fought in many wars. He was also smart enough to keep himself alive and so he would stay well hidden from the evil that roamed the planet. Silverblade however lived on the most southern part of Tantina and the journey there would be a harsh and difficult one. And so some of the forests greatest warriors were called upon to deliver Christien to Silverblade. Among the party were 2 fairies, 2 elves, and a dwarf. Over the years, the fairies and Sir Dracius had kept them informed of the prophecy and they too knew the importance that surrounded Christien. It was in their best interest to help him finish his training. Finally, it was time to explain this to Christien. A small meeting was held and Sir Dracius and Ms Violet told Christien of the journey he had to take. At first he didn't want to leave and then he became happy. He realized he would finally be able to see the outside world.
As the sun set and rose again, they were now ready to start their journey. For the first time in his life, he would be leaving Sir Dracius and Ms Violet. They were all saddened by this, but they knew he had to go but would return some day. And so their goodbye was short, but full of tears. Before Christien left, Sir Dracius gave him a small amulet which had the crest of The Order. He told Christien to wear this with pride. Christien said goodbye to all his friends in the village and they started on their journey.
Finally, after 21 years, he gained access to the tower that stood just miles from his castle. He had known this tower was built by The Order 1000 years ago and so he knew the secrets it contained would be most valuable to him. He quickly ordered his guards out of the tower and he alone read the books that were left. He learned of the prophecy of his return and of his death and in fear he formed a new army, made up of his greatest warriors, to go out and seek this wizard and boy who could destroy him. He burned the books and ordered the tower destroyed. And so it was torn down, the debris were gathered and thrown into the lava pits in Zoreals palace. After Zoreal finished reading all the books, he had them burned as well. He would not have all he had built be destroyed by some old wizard and a snotty nosed boy. And so they became his greatest enemy and his number one concern.
After reading the books from the tower, he learned of the inhabitants of Duplium forest and this became his next conquest. He ordered his newly formed army of greatest warriors to seek out this forest and find out if the wizard and boy were there, and to also burn it down and kill anyone or anything living there. And so they obeyed.
Days had passed and finally the army reached the forest. They were met with great resistence, but they were able to crush the resistance. They went deep inside the forest and found the wizard and his wife. He resisted them with all his power, but in the end, he was to old and weak and was unable to fight them off. They chained them and bound them, with ropes tied around them. They lit the trees and the forest went up in flames. The animals, fairies, dwards, elves and all the forest's inhabitants tried to escape, but the smoke was too much and they burned, with only a few actually escaping.
They brought the wizard and his wife back to Zoreal as a gift. He was much pleased with this and rewarded his army by allowing them to destroy any village they wanted and they did.
"Where is the boy?" demanded Zoreal. But the wizard would not answer. He knew his power was no match for Zoreal and that he would suffer greatly, but he would not betray the boy. As an incentive to make the wizard talk, Zoreal ordered his gaurd to torture Ms Violet.
They brought the wizard and Ms Violet to the torture room which was beneath the palace. The room was dark, with a very dim light. The smell of death and blood was in the air. The walls were dark red with blood from the various victims. Of all the places in the palace, this was probably Zoreal's favorite.
In the middle of the room were 2 poles. Attached to them were four chains, 2 for the arms, 2 for the legs. All around these poles was blood, dark and thick. They chained Ms Violet to these poles and then stripped her naked. They put the wizard in front of her, where he was forced to watch. To stop her from biting, they pulled out her teeth and then all 4 guards had their way with her. Raping and violating her, painfully. She screamed in agony and pain, and wished she was dead.
They then proceeded to cut her. They started by making small, tiny cuts all over her body. To stop her from screaming, they cut out her tongue and then sewed her mouth shut. They took a whip and was about to whip her, but Zoreal stopped them.
"Tell me where the boy is and I will put her out of her miserable life." But still the wizard would not answer. Tears running down his face, he wished he could do something, but was unable to. As much as he loved his wife and didn't want to see her in pain, he couldn't betray the boy and so he kept silent. Zoreal nodded to his guards, and they continued. One by one, the guards took turns whipping her. Slices and whip marks immediatly showing all over her body. She tried to scream, but couldn't. Her knees buckled, but the chains around her wrists held her up.
They then started to tighten the chains, her arms and legs were being pulled. Her muscles and joints were ripping and with a snap, her arms were pulled out of their sockets. The pain shot through her with such force, she blacked out. The guards quickly revived her. They proceeded by bringing a wooden vise. They put her left leg in the vise and smashed it with a club, effectivly shattering the bones in her leg. They then did the same with the right leg. She was now left hanging loosely. As the wizard tried to close his eyes, they sewed them open so he could not close them and he was forced to watch his wife. They chained the wizard to the wall, right in front of his wife. Eyes sewn open. They cut out Ms Violets eyes and left her hanging, to die slowly and painfully.
As Zoreal was a paitent man, he ordered his guards to leave and he stayed in the room, waiting to see if the wizard would tell him what he wanted to know. A few hours passed, and several times Zoreal had to revive Ms Violet. He wouldn't let her die yet.
As hours passed, Zoreal was growing very impatient. Finally, he walked over to Ms Violet and with his fist, he reached inside her belly and pulled out each of her organs, one by one, until she was finally dead. He ordered his guards to feed the organs to the wizard. He tried to resist, but his resistance was futile and so he was forced to eat the organs. Zoreal then ordered that the womens body be strapped to the gate outside for all to see.
As Zoreal knew the wizard wouldn't respond to physical torture, Zoreal had his body chained to a cross in front of his wife. There he would be forced to see her dead body rot and in the end he too would die and rot.
Although a small part of Zoreal was happy to see the wizard tortured, he was infurated that he didn't have the boy. And so he ordered his army out and told them not to return without the boy. As an incentive to lure the boy back here, he ordered all the children from every village to be gathered and each day, one child would be tortured and eventually killed. The tortures were blamed on the boy and the villagers decided to find the boy themselves and bring him back to Zoreal.
